Santa Pod is now opening its doors to forms of motor sport other than

drag racing....An area where exponents of drifting can display their skills

has been provided and an arena for monster trucks and stunt performers

to entertain spectators has also been developed.

For lovers of ridiculously overpowered vehicles what might be considered

a sister sport to drag racing is tractor pulling....In 2008 this also became

part of the calendar at the inaugral Monster Truck Nationals event.

Although the initial event was only for the juniors and mini pullers (some

of which still have well over 1000bhp to play with), it perhaps paves the

way for some of the 10,000bhp multi-engined monsters which contest the

European Championships to appear in the future.
